Tera is a company focused on professional training in technology, programming, and digital products. Every year, they host the
TERA Digital Product Week festival, an event that brings together professionals from these fields for presentations and workshops.
In 2021, Tera approached the agency where I worked to create promotional pieces based on their visual identity. Among these pieces was a promotional video aimed at inviting industry professionals to attend the event.
During my research, I found a note from the designer who created the event's visual identity, suggesting that the shapes represent "digital products." Although there was no confirmation if this was the final idea, I used this concept as the foundation for the first scene of the video.
The idea was that these shapes represent industry professionals. When they come together, they gain new skills and ways to solve problems, reflecting the event's goal: to bring people together, exchange experiences, and enhance their skills to offer new solutions.
My goal wasn't to create something philosophical, but to give purpose to the animation of the shapes. The first shape, a square, appears on screen and is followed by two more squares that join together, creating a color gradient. This square symbolizes the event, which has been running since 2018, with the goal of uniting industry professionals. As the shapes come together, they create something new.
I made small adjustments to the storyboard for the video, and the client requested a few changes. They were satisfied with the final delivery.
A few months after the DPW, the client also asked us to create a video promoting a new Full Stack Development course. Just like the previous video, I did the storyboard, motion, editing, and sound mix.
